Mello on the Beach History
Mello on the Beach just opened, but its history dates back to 1975. Back then, the Aquarius Beach Resort was the ultimate place to stay on the island. After several years, the property was renovated and expanded, taking on new life as the Anna Maria Island Beach Resort. Unfortunately, the passage of time took its toll on the property.
In 2018, a small group of people decided to purchase the old property and bring it back to life again. The goal to create youthful and fun places to stay in Anna Maria Island would soon be realized. Mello on the Beach is the newest source for AMI accommodations and is hopeful for a long future ahead.
How to Get Here
You probably don’t have to ask, “Where is Anna Maria Island?” but you might need to ask, “Where is Mello on the Beach?” We are located at 105 39th Street in Holmes Beach. Holmes Beach is the central community here, so it’s easy to navigate Anna Maria Island using Mello on the Beach as a starting point.
Once you arrive on AMI, you’ll want to make sure you’re headed toward Gulf Drive North. Just past 31st Street, you’ll turn left onto Gulf Drive. After 0.3 miles, take a slight left to stay on Gulf Drive, then turn left onto 39th Street. You’ll find Mello on the Beach on your left.
